By building simplicity into our designs, they are easy to install and keep clean.
All our drains, channel drains and lower parts are made from AISI 304 stainless steel, or AISI 316L which is sourced only from European Steel Mills.
Our water traps have a 50mm water seal, and a capacity of up to 102 litres per minute which should be more than adequate for the majority of installations, but for very high flow showers an additional trap can be added.
Our origins were in commercial and residential fit out in London during the 1990’s when one of our customers asked for a wetroom. Knowing nothing about wetrooms, our early investigations suggested we use lead, of all things! Not happy with this solution, we dug a bit deeper and soon found ourselves knocking on the door of Alfix – Denmark’s leading manufacturer of tile adhesives and waterproofing products for wetrooms. Here we were taught how to create watertight showering environments. At this time, we were also introduced to Blucher (Denmark’s leading manufacturer of stainless steel drains). Whilst most of Blucher’s products were industrial, they had a small selection of drains and channels that could be used in a domestic shower or spa. Taking our newfound skills and equipment back to the UK, we became one of the very first companies to design and build effective wetrooms both in the UK and the Channel Islands. It wasn’t long before we were asked by a number of high-end builders to provide a waterproofing and drain solution for their clients’ large country properties, often housing ten or more bathrooms. Most of these bathrooms had marble walls and floors and required different drain solutions to the ones that were readily available. The usual request was ‘we don’t want to see a drain we want it covered by the marble and we want the water to go away very quickly’. In answer to this, we began designing and fabricating custom stainless steel solutions here in the UK, designed to work in tandem with Blucher’s lower parts.
Fast forward 25 years, and we still work with Alfix and Blucher. We also have fantastic and extremely capable fabricators here in the UK and have had the privilege of working on many wonderful projects, and even after all this time, we are enthusiastic about every single job… when you work with a great team, you just can’t help loving what you do! And this is the secret to providing a first-class service, and product, to our customers. We have worked on everything from the tiniest wetroom in a cupboard where space was a premium, to providing a vast tanking and drainage system for a luxury ensuite bathroom with a £1m budget. Whatever the scale and whatever the challenge – we love to help, problem solve and find solutions to any area where water is being thrown around. Whether you need to remove water discreetly, or make a statement with your grate, you can rely on us to find the right solution… ensuring that it is your wet area that is drained, and not your enthusiasm.
